I downloaded the latest one, & apparently it does NOT work in Mojave. BTW the fix above and a few others did not work for me on the troubled iMac. Ran the App a few times & nothing showed on screen though it was running. I have Mojave running on about 4 Macs, and only one has seen issues, so it's hit or miss. This is unfortunate given that many Mac users stay more than one OS behind on purpose for technical reasons (some third party software is limited), but at least the answer is clear! Just the fact that the technical support staff are not aware that M1 chips cannot run OSX Mojave (chips are too new) points to how poorly Box trains its associates.Īfter about 4-5 emails with support, I was made aware that Box does not officially support Box Drive on any Mac OS older than the 2 most current versions - Mojave is officially unsupported. Unfortunately, Box support has been terrible - I got an "expert" who took 3 times repeating my OS and machine specs (2015 iMac running OSX 10.14.6 Mojave with quad core i7 chipset) before she actually read that information and quit trying to feed me a link about how Box is having trouble supporting the M1 chips on Big Sur. It now works like it did before without issue for me - phew! I hope this helps as it was driving me nuts.I've been communicating back and forth with Box support for the past month on this subject. ![]() The install involves lowering the security at boot to load a non-Apple extension (there are very clear instructions downloadable from the Promise website) but quite frankly to get the RAID working, that’s not a problem. The G-Speed made use of the Intel Ktext and now they have re-written it to work with M1 Macs. Install HS, choosing your external as the destination for the install. Connect the blank external to your 2012 MBPro. I think all the drivers are the same on that page. macOS Mojave(/mohvi,m-/mo-HAH-vee version 10.14) is the fifteenth major releaseof macOS, Apple Inc.s desktop operating system for Macintoshcomputers. Apple has steps for using the terminal to create a bootable installer from the installer app that you download for HS. PROMISE Technology - Storage Solutions for IT, Cloud, Surveillance, and Rich Media I managed to get it to work by downloading the new driver (R_MacDrv_V6_2_16) from the Promise website, There is nothing on G-technology’s website to help out. Portable USB flash drives or other cloud storage services (Google Drive, DropBox, etc.) also have convenient backup service. I have a G-Speed Shuttle RAID which also wouldn’t mount on my M1 MacBook Pro - very disappointing. In order to run on macOS 10.14.6 (Mojave), the quarantine attribute must be removed from the application folder. ![]() CVE-2019-8661: natashenka of Google Project Zero. Description: A use after free issue was addressed with improved memory management. However, the next, I couldn’t mount again. Impact: A remote attacker may be able to cause arbitrary code execution. I could mount, format, copy to the Shuttle XL Thunderbolt 2 on the late 2013 trashcan running Mojave. In desperation, I found this on the G-tech forums. Just to reiterate, working with either the old G-Speed Shuttle Utility or the new GRAIDutility, the G-Speed Shuttle XL Thunderbolt 2 worked just fine on PC. It’s just this iMac Pro that can’t mount the drive.įYI - If you use the G-Speed Shuttle Utility to upgrade the Utility, it will download and upgrade to the GRAIDutility. ![]() G-Speed studio software sees the RAID array and can configure things on my drive. I have rebooted 3 times now, and NOTHING (not showing up in Disk Utility). So after rebooting my iMac Pro, it no longer mounts my Shuttle XL. IMac Pro not mounting Shuttle XL TB2 G-SPEED & G-SAFE Any of the following operating systems: Windows 10 (64-bit) (Last 32-bit installer -> 6.7.9). The macOS Mojave 10.14.6 update improves the stability and reliability of your Mac, and is recommended for all users. I am using just straight Thunderbolt 2 on the Mac.Īs far as I can tell, the firmware was updated to the latest version via the PC (the utility software claimed it was). I am using a thunderbolt 2 to thunderbolt 3 adapter into a thunderbolt 3 usb-c port on the PC. The G-Speed Shuttle XL Thunderbolt 2 works perfectly on a PC. Is it possible to mount and use a G-Speed Shuttle XL thunderbolt 2 on a late 2013 MacPro (trashcan) running Mojave 10.14.6?
